Well, I'm not sure how to summarize myself. I'm a laid back person, very low maintenance. I love to just chill out and watch movies or tv or something. I am a fairly outdoorsy individual, with many some of my hobbies being hiking, backpacking, and camping. I am an animal lover, especially when it comes to amphibians. I am currently studying biology at university. I am a geek, and enjoy science fiction and fantasy, as well as role playing. I have traveled extensively, and am always looking for new excuses to go someplace new or revisit a favorite destination. I am a little introverted, but am open to making new friends and will defend my friends wherever possible.

Some stuff to know about me:
I grew up in a small town in Southeast Arkansas with the population of 883 people. But then my dad got a job in Northwest Arkansas so evenutally, after I graduated high school, I found my way up there for a few years. I lived there for about 3 years I think. But I wanted out. I just had to get outta there. I had been to Conway twice and thought that would be a cool town. So I literally took all the money I had to my name, about $300, packed my stuff, and left. I replied to an add to an apartment and started living there. Found a job about a month later (and i still have that job to this day, exactly one year later) I literally didn't know a single person in Conway. And even now I only know a few people. Thats basically the story of how I got from A to B.

When it rains out here, little frogs jump into the road from both sides. I thought I was seeing things, at first. I had very little time to swerve; frogs are fast. The rain also bounces from the road, optical illusory. I killed a frog the other day.

I'm a writer (published one book, was an essayest for KUAR for about a year), filmmaker (we've made two movies so far), artist (I'm compelled to create odd little things, like little trees out of copper wire, or windchimes out of broken glass), artificer (I craft things like dreamcatchers, staves, wands, talismans, and other arcane paraphernalia), weaponsmith (I have an obsession with medievalish weaponry),
I love to dance (though unfortunately, I'm told I dance like a stripper. I don't mean to, but there you have it),
I tend to dislike drama, (any attempts to turn my life into the jerry springer show would be frowned upon, I spent three years there, and won't do it again.)
I despise retail (I'm currently a helpful hardware guy, it's not the worst thing I've ever done, but sometimes I think I might rather be artsy and starve)

Why am I bothering with this again? Same reason any of us are- Dating sucks, especially once you hit your late twenty's/early thirties. The world of Get up, go to work, go home, eat something, go to bed, do laundry on your day off- is not conducive to meeting people of similar interest, especialy if you're not thrilled with the prospect of subjecting yourself to the seething throng of pointless humanity that is the bar scene. We who don't quite fit (or care to) tend to be at a loss when it comes to meeting each other, for there is no "Place" we hang out, and we usually find it difficult to connect even if we happen to run across each other due to the adverse social conditioning of being an interesting individual in an homogeneous culture of ignorance.

I'm the kinda guy that likes adventure, likes the outdoors, and works with his hands. I'm artistic, as in drawing, painting, sculpting, ect. I'm old fashioned in some ways and new in others. I'm always the odd one out, unique in many ways. I like to make sure I'm the best at what I do, or try anyway. I like animals, and care about the environment. I'm very goal oriented. There are too many things I want to do in life, it will be hard to do in one lifetime.

This is the hard part! I am an honest, independent, early retired 46 year old female. I own my own house and I can take care of myself. Have been separated for two years, trying to get divorced, but it's a financial thing, something always comes up. I have no children of my own, but still keep in touch with my stepdaughter. Hey! Sorry, if you read it and it doesn't make sense....lol Just ask me if you want to know something. I'm 25 years old. I'm of mixed race...Mexican and Caucasian. The funny thing is I can't speak or understand Spanish very good. I'm actually learning Spanish now and it is difficult.
